When Jesus Saved Me

            Every day I faced a life of emptiness and sin,

            I was wandr'ng aimlessly and had no peace within.

            Jesus came to set me free and give me a new start,

            Put salvation in my soul and peace within my heart.

 

       Chorus

            When Jesus saved me, gave me all of His great love,

            I know He found me, crowned me with blessings from above,

            He said he'd lift me, gift me with peace down in my soul,

            He touched me and made me whole.

            And when I'm facing trouble I know He's always there,

            He feels my every heartache and hears my faintest prayer.

            If problems all surround me no matter what I do,

            I wait for God's deliverance, His promises are true.

            Someday I'll go to heaven, no longer bound by sin,

            Not because of my good deeds, it's all because of Him.

            I'll sing my Savior's praises somewhere beyond the blue,

            There I'll live for evermore, I hope you're coming too.
